What FreelanceIQ Does

FreelanceIQ is a Chrome extension that helps freelancers evaluate Upwork job listings by overlaying intelligence badges, tracking proposals, analyzing win rates, providing proposal templates, and calculating connects ROI.

Data We Collect

None. FreelanceIQ does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any external server. We have no backend, no database, and no analytics service.

Data Stored Locally

The extension stores the following data locally on your device using Chrome's built-in storage (chrome.storage.local):

Job analysis counter (number of jobs analyzed per day)
Proposal tracking data (job titles, dates, status, connects spent)
Custom proposal templates you create
Template variable preferences
Connect price settings
Earnings data you manually enter

This data never leaves your browser. It is not sent to us or any third party.

Permissions We Request

Storage: To save your proposals, templates, and settings locally on your device.
Tabs: To open extension pages (Proposal Tracker, Analytics, Templates, ROI Tracker) in new browser tabs.
Host permission (upwork.com): To read Upwork job listing pages and overlay intelligence badges. The extension only activates on Upwork.

Third-Party Services

FreelanceIQ does not use any third-party services, APIs, analytics tools, or tracking scripts. There are no external network requests made by this extension.

Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transfer any data to any third party. Since we collect no data, there is nothing to share.

Data Deletion

All data is stored locally in your browser. You can delete all FreelanceIQ data at any time by:

Uninstalling the extension (removes all stored data automatically)
Clearing your browser's extension storage through Chrome settings

Children's Privacy

FreelanceIQ is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Since we collect no data, significant changes are unlikely.
